The Brothers McMurray Family Charity began with deep roots in Peoria, Illinois, where Ed and Betty McMurray raised their 12 children (8 boys and 4 girls), instilling values of family, service, and joy. Though the family has since spread across Illinois, North Carolina, NYC, and beyond, now boasting 25 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, their commitment to giving back remains unwavering.
Cancer has profoundly impacted the McMurray family. Four of the twelve siblings are cancer survivors, and their beloved father, Ed McMurray, bravely fought the disease before passing away. These personal experiences forged a powerful resolve to advance medical research and access to care, a mission truly close to their hearts in Chicagoland and beyond.

This simple suggestion blossomed into a powerful tradition of turning joyful community celebrations into life-changing impact.
Since its inception, the Charity has united family, friends, and supporters, raising both spirits and vital funds for esteemed organizations and causes, including:
Our ability to support these crucial programs, patients, and families—many facing similar challenges to our own—rests entirely on the generosity of local businesses and compassionate people like you. Together, we can continue to make a profound difference.
