The McMurray family is no stranger to cancer or serious medical conditions.
- Four of the twelve McMurray siblings are cancer survivors.
- Their father, Ed McMurray, lost his battle to cancer after a courageous fight.
The inspiration and foundation for this organization and mission is to further medical research and access to care in Chicagoland and beyond is close to their hearts.
The Brothers' McMurray Family Charity LTD. was created in 1999. Over 20 years ago, Brothers Dave, Greg & Pete were roommates in Chicago, looking for an excuse to bring family & friends together at the holidays. Brother Ed said, "Let's raise money and celebrate!" .
Since then the Charity has brought together family, friends and guests raising fun and funds for fellow organizations, charities, and causes such as:
- Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center at Northwestern University
- Have Dreams
- Easter Seals
- Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Chicago
- OSF HealthCare Cancer Institute (Peoria)
- Susan G. Komen for the Cure
