A Toast to Impact: Reflecting on the 3rd Annual MCTOBERFEST

On Saturday, September 20, 2025, the Peoria community gathered at Jimmy’s Bar for an afternoon that was as unique as it was meaningful. 

Our 3rd Annual MCTOBERFEST wasn’t just a celebration—it was a powerful demonstration of what happens when heritage, hospitality, and a shared mission collide.

There is something truly special about a Lebanese family hosting an Oktoberfest-inspired bash within the storied walls of an Irish pub. 

This "cultural mashup" brought warmth and energy to Jimmy’s that was palpable. It served as a reminder that, regardless of our background, we are all united in the fight against cancer.

While the laughter was loud and the steins were full, our focus remained steadfast: supporting the OSF HealthCare Cancer Institute. 

Because of your incredible generosity, we were able to turn an afternoon of fun into a significant contribution toward life-saving care and research.

Highlights of the Afternoon:

• A Spirit of Giving: From the $20 suggested donations at the door to the spirited bidding during our silent auction, the community showed up in a big way.

• Heartfelt Hospitality: Our family felt immense joy in sharing our hometown roots and Lebanese hospitality with both long-time friends and new faces alike.

• The Perfect Backdrop: A huge thank you to our dear friend Jimmy and the entire staff at Jimmy’s Bar for providing the perfect venue for the third year running.

We are already looking forward to 2026, but the mission doesn't stop here. Thank you for being part of our story and for helping us support the incredible work at OSF HealthCare.
